Let Me Introduce Myself

Hi there! I’m Madeleine and I am the owner of Pursuit of Parties (POP). I started Pursuit of Parties in the middle of planning my wedding. I caught the "party-planning bug" and wanted to host more parties for my friends and family. I searched for a company that did beautiful pre-planned parties that I could easily rent from, and found that it did not exist! After reaching out to my network of friends and family, I saw that there was a market for this type of service and I decided to take things into my own hands and create Pursuit of Parties so you can easily host more parties without any headache.

A little background…

I consider myself to be "bi-coastal" having grown up in Pacific Palisades, California and then moving to New Jersey right before high school. I graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans, so I know a good party! During that time I served on the executive board of my sorority, Chi Omega. I also studied abroad in Paris and I get a lot of my inspiration from my European travels. I now live in northern Virginia with my fiancé, Stephen, our cat, Delachaise, and our Black Lab puppy, Mardi Gras. 

I worked in software sales for six years prior to starting Pursuit of Parties working with startup companies as well as companies with hundreds of employees and partnering with accounting firms. Business has always been an interest of mine, but I also have a creative side and I love this opportunity to combine the two to help my clients create special moments with the ones they love.
